Reccy
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026. These terms apply to Reccy (reccy.it.com).
Using Reccy
Reccy provides a platform for former tenants to share rental experiences. You must be 18+ and provide honest reviews based on genuine tenancy experience.
Accounts and sign-in
You create an account through our sign-up flow, powered by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We may require you to verify your email address before you can submit a review.
Signed-out visitors may browse briefly; after that we may ask you to sign in to continue using the site. Staff and moderator accounts follow the same authentication system.
Review access model
Overall property scores are publicly visible. Full review text is unlocked for one year after you submit a qualifying review. Published reviews are anonymous — your name is not shown on the review itself. Reviews cannot be edited after submission; deletion requires a moderator-reviewed request.
Email verification is required before submitting a review. If your email is not verified, you will be directed to complete verification first.
Moderation policy and process
Reccy is moderated by our team. We aim to keep reviews honest, relevant, and based on genuine tenancy experience. When you submit a review, you confirm that what you have entered is fair and true.
How reviews are handled
- Reviews are published anonymously after submission and are not editable. If you wrote the review, you may request removal from your profile by explaining why — we do not remove reviews on request from landlords or third parties.
- We may remove or restrict content that breaches these terms, appears fraudulent, incentivised, defamatory, or harassing, or that we reasonably believe is unlawful.
Deletion requests (tenants)
Signed-in users can submit a deletion request with a short reason. A moderator reviews each request: we verify the request comes from the account that submitted the review, consider the reason given, and look for patterns such as pressure from landlords. Approved requests result in removal of the review; rejected requests leave the review in place. We do not ask tenants to edit reviews — only this deletion process applies.
Landlord flags and responses
Verified landlords may flag a review they believe is inaccurate or breaches our policies, with a reason. Moderators review each flag and either dismiss it or uphold it. Flags alone do not automatically remove content.
Landlords may also submit categorized evidence responses (for example, relating to repairs, condition, or safety). These are not free-text comments on reviews; they are reviewed before publication.
Landlord access
Landlords can request access to the landlord portal by identifying a property and uploading proof of ownership or management. We verify that documentation matches the property before granting access. Unverified landlords cannot flag reviews or submit responses.
Reporting and timelines
If you believe content is unlawful or otherwise harmful, contact moderation@reccy.it.com. We prioritise safety-related reports. Moderation decisions are logged internally; we aim to respond to queued requests as promptly as practicable, though we do not guarantee a fixed turnaround time.
Prohibited conduct
- Fake, incentivised, or defamatory reviews.
- Harassment of tenants or landlords.
- Attempting to pressure tenants to change or remove reviews.
- Scraping, spam, or automated abuse.
- Attempting to bypass sign-in, verification, or moderation controls.
Landlords
Landlords may verify ownership and flag reviews or submit categorized evidence responses. Landlords may not post free-text comments on reviews. All landlord submissions are moderated.
Content liability
Reviews are user-generated content. Reccy moderates reports but does not guarantee accuracy. If you believe content is unlawful, contact moderation@reccy.it.com.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update these terms; continued use constitutes acceptance.
